We had the opportunity to spend a few nights at Chickadee Farm recently when we were in the area for a family wedding. While making preparations to attend an 80th Birthday Party at Chickadee Farm for our dear friend (and Lisa’s mom) Kathy, we called Lisa to see what hotels might be available for us reserve a room as we were traveling a good distance from Kansas to get to Lisa's home. Lisa would not hear of us staying in a hotel and asked us to spend the night in her home. WOW!!!! I think we were her only guests. (All of the other invited party guests lived in the vicinity.) We stayed in the room called The Beach downstairs, with the room decorated with a beachy accent. The bed was quite comfortable and it was very quiet. Nancy and I were so impressed with not only the great location but the way Lisa decorated. Lisa's excitement of having her Mom's Birthday party in her new home was beyond words. Lisa provided a wonderful breakfast for Nancy and I the next morning after the party. If we ever have a chance to visit our friends in St. Peters, I hope we will have time to visit Chickadee Farm also. Lisa is so upbeat, full of energy and so much fun to be around.
